Wind

You try to keep it together all your stuff
hoarded into 1
spot

& a godly gust lifts all your important papers
your fine silks
what is yours
Go chase after it all, snot driveling everywhere
Then once it’s gathered, tamp it down with spikes
with nails

Of course, a much stronger, louder wind uproots
your work & not just this but takes down your
walls, your furniture, your home—in ruin
The wind doesn’t mean to make you homeless
It only means to get you on the flow
reduce stagnancy
teach you resourcefu-
 lness

Touch new places, faces, phases
like the wind does
all the wind is winding to do is
reorganize the too-neat&tidy
organization of all things
